Jeff Daniels, SERC's founding Director and currently the Director of the Utica Shale Energy and Environmental Lab (USEEL) will be among the presenters at a workshop entitled "Appalachian Basin Technology", which takes place on Wednesday, July 20 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania (south of Pittsburgh).
After many months of preparation and preliminary study, drilling is set to begin today (June 26) on the vertical sections – known as top holes – of a science well and two production wells that comprise the nation’s first integrated research initiative on shale gas drilling.
Ohio State's Subsurface Energy Resource Center (SERC) is co-sponsoring a workshop looking at water management related to the Utica and Marcellus shale plays. The workshop will be held at Zane State College in Cambridge, Ohio on Wed., June 10, beginning at 8:00 am.
